It has the ability to support up to 80 autosensing 10/100 ports. Its modular design can be reconfigured to up to ten Gigabit ports, 40, 100Base-FX ports or 40 10Base-FL ports. The ProCurve 8000M offers scalable connectivity with 3.8-19Gbps of total bandwidth.
The ProCurve Switch 8000M is considered a Hewlett Packard Proactive Networking product because it takes care of your network for you. It features built-in management so you can see the whole network and proactively stay ahead of demand. It also incorporates a web-based, hardware agent for easy management from anywhere on the network.
The ProCurve Switch 8000M allows for more uptime because HP Proactive Networking finds common network problems, fixes them (when possible) and keeps you informed along the way.
